From September 26 – September 30, 2017, the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) and Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School are very excited to host the 33rd annual Canadian Student Leadership Conference!

CSLC 2017 – “StartUp Leadership” will build on the theme of developing an “innovative spirit” in our student leaders.  As a vibrant, thriving hub of Canadian innovation and  start-up initiatives the Waterloo region is an ideal place to start this discussion.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

2017 marks the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation.  This will be a time of reflection and celebration throughout the entire country. It will also be a time to look to the future and consider the next 150 years for Canada.  Our all Canadian line-up of speakers will explore how innovative leadership will help the student delegates shape the next 150 years in Canada!


CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Our conference theme of  developing an innovative spirit and how it will benefit Canada in the future will flow through the keynote speeches, leadership workshops, volunteer opportunities and cultural experiences of our conference. We are very excited to showcase Waterloo’s  start-up culture and innovative spirit at CSLC 2017.

The Canadian Student Leadership Conference would like to offer our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Rob Stewart, who passed away in early February. Rob was a dedicated biologist, photographer, filmmaker and conservationist. We are deeply saddened with this news and hope that Rob’s legacy will have a lasting impact on our youth.
